Learning focuses on:
- Rhythm: maintaining a steady bass in 6/8 imitating the double bass, essential for giving the piece its momentum.
- Technique: work on the independence of the right hand, which must “chant” the melody clearly and precisely, almost spoken, with repeated notes.
- Clarity: an airy layout in D major, careful and complete engraving with fingerings.
