Il était un petit homme

The Comptine collection is made up of transcriptions of children's and traditional songs.
Each title includes a piano arrangement graded by difficulty level (from 1 to 9) to suit both beginner and experienced musicians.

The difficulty of this piano arrangement is ③, corresponding to an easy piece with simple melody and bass, including a few position changes on the keyboard and more frequent thumb passages.

“Il était un petit homme” is an old song that is both funny and absurd, characterised by a bouncy, repetitive melody. It is an ideal piece for working on staccato articulation and a sense of musical humour with beginner/intermediate pianists.

The sheet, including the piano arrangement, the lyrics and a vocal score with chords and guitar tablature, is printed on natural white Rives 180 g/m² paper and presented in a transparent plastic sleeve.

The downloadable version (PDF) includes the MP3.
