Petite Pièce pour un Inconnu – from the album Lift

Collector’s songbook (limited to 1,000 copies) with illustrations and texts in French and English.

Produced for and around the album “Lift” performed by the composer Koki Nakano (piano) and Vincent Ségal (cello), this book offers the sheet music of the album’s first track, “petite pièce pour un inconnu”, along with many explanatory texts on the composer’s approach.

< I >“In the tiny studio in the Buttes-Chaumont where Koki lived, I could touch the upright piano with my bow and boil water with my left hand, but on leaving I felt as if I had been on Mars, by a lake, in a Berlin loft, with fairies. Music means nothing, and yet for Koki Nakano it is a matter of life and death.”
Vincent Segal.
