La marche des rois mages

The Comptine collection is made up of transcriptions of children's and traditional songs.
Each title includes a piano arrangement graded by difficulty level (from 1 to 9) to suit both beginner and experienced musicians.

“La marche des rois mages” is a traditional French Christmas carol associated with the celebration of Epiphany. Popularised notably by its inclusion in Bizet’s L’Arlésienne, its solemn, festive melody evokes the procession of the kings come to honour the infant Jesus. Between majestic character and marked rhythmic drive, this piece stands as a staple of the Christmas repertoire, regularly performed and arranged.
