Compère Guilleri

The Comptine collection is made up of transcriptions of children's and traditional songs.
Each title includes a piano arrangement graded by difficulty level (from 1 to 9) to suit both beginner and experienced musicians.

The difficulty of the piano arrangement is ⑤, corresponding to a fairly easy piece with more frequent chords in the left hand and use of the sustain pedal, at a moderate tempo.

“Compère Guilleri” is a traditional French song with a narrative, repetitive character, telling the adventures of a popular figure in a simple, colourful style. Its catchy melody and cumulative structure make it a lively, easily memorised piece. Very present in the children’s repertoire, this song fosters a sense of rhythm and musical storytelling, while retaining a playful, accessible spirit.

The sheet, including the piano arrangement, the lyrics and a vocal score with chords and guitar tablature, is printed on natural white Rives 180 g/m² paper and presented in a transparent plastic sleeve.
