\u201cLike every piano teacher, I am constantly looking for ideas to motivate young and not-so-young students to discover the instrument.<\/i><\/p>\n
The repertoire for piano four hands accessible to beginners is fairly limited. Piano writing in this genre must take into account limited piano technique and music-theory notions still being learned, without any of this detracting from the musical result.<\/i><\/p>\n
That is why I had the idea of creating this \u201cabsolute beginners\u201d songbook, mindful of these difficulties, a book in which any young pianist can tackle a four-hands piece from their very first lesson, with their teacher or another student. The experience, first applied with my own students, is truly enriching: it reveals the importance of rhythm, strengthens musicality and motivation, and above all brings the sharing of music and listening to one another.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n
