The first collection of French song sheet music graded by level of difficulty, CrocK’MusiC offers a clear path from level 1 to 9, designed by piano teachers. The works, drawn mainly from the French chanson repertoire, speak immediately to the student: they build on familiar melodies, stimulate listening, make reading easier and recreate a direct link with the instrument.

Technique stops being an obstacle and becomes a lever; CrocK’MusiC is not an alternative to the traditional repertoire, it is a parallel path that leads naturally back to it.

Armelle Cocheril’s piano transcription of this emblematic musette waltz is adapted here to offer a perfect balance between the picturesque charm of the original accordion and virtuosic piano writing. Originally composed for Julien Duvivier’s film of the same name released in 1951, it became, thanks to Édith Piaf, the musical symbol of the capital throughout the world.

Difficulty level: ⑧ (Difficult pieces)

This level 8 score is ideal for pianists wishing to master the whirling, elegant character of the Parisian waltz.

Learning focuses on:

- Rhythm: mastering the fast waltz tempo, work on the impetus of the first beat and the lightness of the weak beats.

- Technique: precision of the rapid melodic runs in the right hand evoking accordion playing.

- Clarity: an airy layout in E minor (later modulating), careful and complete engraving with fingerings.

Crock'Music scores include the lyrics and are printed on sturdy natural Rives 170g paper.

These individual scores are available in songbook form, but also as downloads.
