It brings together major works of the repertoire as well as rarer pieces, and also offers transcriptions for piano solo or four hands, selected for their musical and educational interest. Each score, available individually, benefits from careful editorial work: a rigorously established musical text, clear and legible engraving, accompanied by a short biography of the composer and a note on the work.

This sheet brings together two of the most famous excerpts from Robert Schumann’s Scenes from Childhood (Opus 15): “Of Foreign Lands and Peoples” in G major and “Träumerei” in F major. For the pianist, these pieces are an incomparable study in Romantic touch and the shaping of a singing line. While the first allows work on the balance between a soprano melody and a triplet accompaniment, the second, a true icon of the repertoire, demands perfect mastery of legato and musical breathing through its subtle, polyphonic harmonies.

Composed in 1838, the Kinderszenen cycle is not addressed directly to children, but expresses the nostalgia of an adult recalling his own childhood. “Of Foreign Lands and Peoples” opens the collection with an evocation of wonder, while “Träumerei” is its beating, contemplative heart. Through their apparent simplicity and immense emotional depth, these two pages remain among the most universal and poetic in the piano literature.

La collection Anacrouse offre aux pianistes, débutants comme confirmés, un large choix d’œuvres classiques de la Renaissance à nos jours.
