The Anacrouse collection offers pianists, beginners and advanced alike, a wide choice of classical works from the Renaissance to the present day. It brings together major works of the repertoire as well as rarer pieces, and also offers transcriptions for piano solo or four hands, selected for their musical and educational interest. Each score, available individually, benefits from careful editorial work: a rigorously established musical text, clear and legible engraving, accompanied by a short biography of the composer and a note on the work.

The “Moment Musical No. 3 in F minor, Op. 94” is a jewel of concision and charm. For the pianist, this piece is remarkable work on articulation and detached playing. The pedagogical challenge lies in mastering the bouncing dance rhythm in the left hand, which must remain light and regular, while the right hand plays a melody adorned with grace notes and graceful chords. It is an ideal study for developing wrist suppleness and precision of touch.

Published in 1828 under the original title “Air russe”, this piece is the beating heart of Schubert’s six Moments Musicaux. It perfectly illustrates the composer’s genius for the miniature, blending a popular-dance atmosphere with a typically Viennese melancholy. Between humour and nostalgia, this short piece has established itself as one of the greatest successes in the history of the piano, bearing witness to Schubert’s ability to transform a simple rhythmic idea into a work of eternal poetry.
