Each score, available individually, benefits from careful editorial work: a rigorously established musical text, clear and legible engraving, accompanied by a short biography of the composer and a note on the work.<\/p>\n
The \u201cTe Deum\u201d (Prelude), presented here in a solo piano transcription by David Neyrolles, is a ceremonial piece that calls for proud playing and great rhythmic stability. This title is taken from the reference songbook \u201c9 Famous Classical Themes for Piano\u201d, the second volume of the Anacrouse collection. This elementary-to-intermediate transcription makes it possible to approach the splendour of the Grand Si\u00e8cle with fluid writing, working on octaves and the fanfare spirit typical of the trumpets and timpani of the period.<\/p>\n
Composed around 1692 by Marc-Antoine Charpentier (1643-1704), this Te Deum (H. 146) is one of the most radiant masterpieces of French Baroque music. Its prelude in rondeau form became world-famous after being chosen as the Eurovision signature tune.
