Comptine
A la claire fontaineThe Comptine collection is made up of transcriptions of children's and traditional songs.
Each title includes a piano arrangement graded by difficulty level (from 1 to 9) to suit both beginner and experienced musicians.
The difficulty of this piano arrangement is ③, corresponding to an easy piece with simple melody and bass, including a few position changes on the keyboard and more frequent thumb passages.
“À la claire fontaine” is a very old traditional French song, melancholy and timeless, on the theme of lost love. Its gentle, simple melody makes it an ideal piece for working on legato and musical expression with beginner and even intermediate pianists.
The sheet, including the piano arrangement, the lyrics and a vocal score with chords and guitar tablature, is printed on natural white Rives 180 g/m² paper and presented in a transparent plastic sleeve.
The downloadable version (PDF) includes the MP3.
