Comptine
Frère JacquesThe Comptine collection is made up of transcriptions of children's and traditional songs.
Each title includes a piano arrangement graded by difficulty level (from 1 to 9) to suit both beginner and experienced musicians.
The difficulty of this piano arrangement is ③, corresponding to an easy piece with simple melody and bass, including a few position changes on the keyboard and more frequent thumb passages.
“Frère Jacques” is a famous round whose melodic simplicity and repetitive structure make it one of the most universal children’s songs. This arrangement is ideal for working on rhythmic regularity and introducing the concept of polyphony in a way that is very accessible to beginners.
The sheet, including the piano arrangement, the lyrics and a vocal score with chords and guitar tablature, is printed on natural white Rives 180 g/m² paper and presented in a transparent plastic sleeve.
The downloadable version (PDF) includes the MP3.
